You will gain access to various responsibilities such as:
-accounts preparation and VAT returns
-bank reconciliations
-use of WCBS software
-extensive you of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets and Word
-introduction to accounts preparation for management accounts
-to help prepare financial information and ensure the accuracy of financial data
-Correction of coding errors and journal entries
-Preparation of information and reports for internal and external bodies
General finance office duties:
-Inputting supplier invoices
-Setting up BACS run to suppliers
-Assisting with the operation of Payroll and general HR duties (300 staff)
-Assist fee officer with data input
-Filing and archiving of invoices, vouchers and other documents
-Filing, faxing, photocopying and archiving
-Updating spreadsheets and standard letters as directed
-Taking telephone messages, assisting parents and suppliers
-Assisting accountants with administration duties
-Input from and reconciliation of various systems to the financial information system
-Setting up spreadsheets using Excel and using databases to maintain and monitor information
-Ensure that good practice, customer care and health and safety are fully blended in day-to-day activities
-Collating and distributing information and material
-Learning to monitor and extract simple data
-Opening the post
-Any other reasonable tasks
Skills required:
•Basic accounting understanding
•Accurate data inputter
•Clear Communicator
•Excellent Literacy and Numeracy skills
GCSE C or above in Maths, English and ICT (or equivalent)
Personal Qualities:
•Confident and professional
•Well presented
•Attention to detail
