My Client a Fintech100 company is currently expanding after getting some amazing recognition for their innovative products. They are a small team based in London, and looking to bring some fresh blood into the organisation. As with any relatively small start up, the culture and environment is key to their success, and everyone there loves what they do.

The y are looking for an experienced system developer who wishes to remain hands-on writing code in a mixed Python/Javascript environment, who is capable of being a leader within a team of developers in an eXtreme Programming process. The product is a mixed usage platform providing value to both external clients through cloud-based web UX and internal researchers through CLI and IDE tools. The functional emphasis in this role would be with respect to ensuring the platform provides a strong, reliable, fully tested user-experience - connecting the research libraries to the web UX, and working to implement a world-class "infographic" interface for rapid understanding of behavioural biases.

Responsibilities
- Continuously delivering of features using eXtreme Programming techniques into a high-availability cloud-based platform
- Leadership and ownership of development processes - inspiring the team through demonstrating the principles and practice day-to-day
- Participation in planning and product processes as required for development processes
- To be mentor to less experienced coders (both developers and researchers) impressing good practices and developing skills
- Support and maintenance of production systems

Must Have
- Mixed language development and delivery - (i.e. not just a 100% Java system, and HTML does not count as a language)
- Cloud-based delivery experience
- Delivery and support of system to non-development programmers - i.e. one where scripts or code was being written in an exploratory manner by non-professional developers to run within a platform (e.g. quants, spreadsheeters, researchers)
- Python and Javascript experience (or similar - but should be explained why it's relevant)
- dev-ops experience (or at least practical support/provisioning of an active live system)
- Experience of both static and dynamic programming languages
- eXtreme Programming experience, specifically:
- Extremely strong test-driven development habits
- Pair-programming experience
- Continuous delivery experience
- Shared code base experience
- Non-XP agile experience
- Team leadership experience (e.g. process development, iteration management, etc.)
- Whole-system development and support experience (i.e. it's not just about writing the code but running the system, too)

Good To Have
- Python pandas library experience
- Experience of functional programming languages
- Dev-ops experience
- Finance experience, particularly hedge-funds or asset management
- Large, mixed schema data set management
- Experience of dealing with highly secure, encrypted data systems
