Our client is looking to recruit a Business Support Analyst within the development team to provide functional, technical and operational support to the organisation in the use of its many business systems
- Provide end user support, monitor the system, respond to queries, resolve and escalate issues according to the requirements of the SLA.
- Perform application configuration and provide support in installation and user sign-off.
- Collaborate with contractors and external vendors in order to resolve issues within the confines of the SLA
- Provide assistance to customers up to Board level in defining and implementing changes
- Analyse software and business processes to align the software solutions with business objectives and the mission statement.
- Identify and define specifications for enhancements in performance of existing business system.
- Develop a deep understanding of the primary supported systems so as to be able to translate business requirements into functional changes.
- Provide support for integration between the different business systems.
- Develop problem solving skills so as to be able to quickly and efficiently develop and implement fixes to support incidents at a moderate degree of complexity.
- Develop business specifications and hand it over to technical team for system development.
- Work independently with minimal supervision to meet performance metrics.
- Assist testers in carrying out testing at all levels.
- To adhere to and assist in the development of the departments standing instructions and operational procedures.
- To carry out any task or duty within the capabilities of the individual as directed by their Line Manager.
Key experience needed:
- Demonstrable experience of providing support services in a complex multi-technical environment.
- Demonstrable experience in problem solving and solution design.
- Problem solving and design skills
- Documentation and presentation skills
- Experience od Microsoft technologies including SQL server and .Net
- Strong analytical & problem solving ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work in a team or individually
- Willingness to learn and share information with colleagues
