LEASEHOLD MANAGER
Full Time, Permanent (37 hours per week)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
(depending on qualifications and experience)
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Customer Services, you will be required to provide a high quality service to the group’s leaseholders, ensuring that they are managed in accordance with the terms of their leases, legislation, regulation and best practice.
You will managing a diverse team responsible for market rent, garages and internal legal services and working to maximise income and minimise loss from this portfolio.
Other duties will include:
• Managing Section 20 consultations for new contract procurements in line with legislation.
• Managing preparation of accurate service charge estimates and actuals statements across a range of tenures ensuring compliance with legislative and lease requirements in order to maximise income recovery for mhs homes.
• Advising, assisting and representing the Asset Management Team, Legal and Financial Departments of mhs homes in meeting landlord lease agreement provisions, service charge account preparation, consultation requirements, mhs homes’ dealings with Solicitors, Arbitrators and to provide Court representation in pursuance of debt recovery.
Ideally we are looking for someone with proven experience in:
• Co-ordinating service charge consultation
• Service charge construction for both estimated and final bills
• Managing (former) Leasehold Valuation Tribunal or Court action
• The management and structure of different leases, as well as handling complex leaseholder queries.
Knowledge of all applicable Landlord and Tenant Acts, good marketing and customer service skills and working knowledge of financial and management systems are also essential criteria for this role.
