Fusion Maidstone is entering a period of exciting change. We are looking for a Centre Manager who can provide support during a period of regeneration and continue to build on and drive forward the positive work we carry out in supporting Park Wood and Maidstone community members.
We manage a number of projects which operate within Park Wood and across the Borough. We support local people to address the barriers and challenges which may affect their health and wellbeing and pride ourselves on our community involvement record.

We are looking for a Centre Manager who is experienced in motivating and leading a staff/volunteer team, has HR and income generation experience through creating tenders and bids as well as social enterprise activities. Ideally you will have a background in health and wellbeing/ community development and be an excellent networker. You will have experience in creating partnerships within services and working in a multi- agency environment. You will have a good knowledge of health and safety legislation and be able to apply this to the role. Facilities and operational management experience would be a great advantage. You will have an understanding of social exclusion and working with vulnerable groups and therefore safeguarding experience will be needed.

You will have good knowledge of the voluntary and community sector and have worked alongside a Board of Trustees. An ability to keep abreast of local and national strategies in relation to Health and Wellbeing and Adult Social Services and implementing these into the organisation is vital.
This role attracts a salary of £29,750 per annum.

The core hours of work will be Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm although due to the nature of the role evening and weekend work will at times be necessary. The closing date for this role is 4th September 2014.
