As an SSIS Developer at Vanquis Bank you will use your expertise in database design and development technologies and extensive experience of SSIS/SQL2012 (or 2008) to design and build SSIS packages for strategic projects and key business initiatives.

As SSIS Developer your key responsibilities will be:
• Design and build SSIS packages for strategic projects and key business initiatives.
• Ensure the department’s adherence to the banks change and release management practises supported by appropriate source control tools (Microsoft Team Foundation Server, SSDT).
• Support SQL Server environments and processes to achieve departmental and company BAU uptime SLAs (including out of hours support as standard)
More specifically, you’ll need to cover the following:
• Translating business requirements into well-engineered, tested and deployed SSIS packages that are used by the business as well as supporting these systems while in production
• Interface with internal customers to determine the most efficient and cost-effective approach to meet their business requirements
• Hands-on development to support implementation of new functionality, enhancements, and defect fixes
• Develop adhering to the current Development Best Practices, add value / improve best practice
• Adherence to Change Management practices.
• Develop and maintain reporting using SSRS and other tools.
As an SSIS Developer you will have experience of:
• Database development techniques and technologies
• SSIS/SQL2012 or SSIS/SQL2008 (essential)
• SSDT (desirable)
• TFS (desirable)
• C# (desirable)
• SSRS (desirable)
• All Microsoft Desk Top Software and Packages (Visual Studio, Word, Excel, Visio, Project, etc.)
