By the Bridge is an independent fostering organisation providing high quality foster care and services to children and their foster families. . We are currently looking for an Accountant on a temporary basis to assist during a busy time of year end and a new accounting system. You must be flexible prepared to muck in & do whatever is necessary to take the pressure off the team,
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly revenue control spreadsheet
- Preparation of monthly payroll
- Assist in the production of audit pack & preparation of statutory accounts
- Assist in the production of monthly management accounts
- Preparation of quarterly reports for branch managers
- Preparation & submission of P11d’s & P46 cars
- Credit control on Foster Parent payment
- Childrens savings, annual statements, spreadsheet discrepancies
- Assist with the annual budget and forecast exercises
- Assisting with credit control
- Ad hoc duties as and when required

The successful candidate will have a broad range of experience a busy finance department, ideally with an accountancy qualification, you will be customer focused and must have a strong attention to detail, an ability to build rapport and maintain good working relationships.
Good computer skills are important including Access, Sage 50 Payroll & Excel.
