Hours of week
Hours will vary. A flexible working approach is required to ensure business needs are met. The working pattern will include weekend and evening hours as required. The successful candidate will be required tro pay for a DBS. £54.00

Purpose of the Job:

1.To provide excellent customer service throughout the ‘Learner Journey’.
2.To actively ensure learners (and staff) have a positive experience of CLS buildings, sites and customer service.
3.To monitor and ensure that the presentation of buildings and grounds meet CLS standards.
4.To carry out all functions in relation to site, building security and Health and Safety.
5.To carry out cleaning, repairs and re decoration as required.
6.To work as a member of the district team in a flexible and hands-on way to support all local activities.


Outline of Duties:

1.Provide a service with a high emphasis on internal and external customer satisfaction.
2.Opening and locking of premises as required and the general supervision and security of premises.
3.Respond to requests at any time to attend in the event of emergency (e.g. break-in/fire etc.) and to be a listed key holder registered with local Police.
4.To meet and attend to all contractors visiting or working on the site and manage Health and safety requirements for safe working including statutory/non statutory registers and regulations including PAT testing.
5.To be responsible for the efficient use and good working order of heating/lighting equipment.
6.Actively participate in all Promotions, Events and Operations for the district including those taking place during the evening and at weekends.
7.General repairs and cleaning, Grounds maintenance, re- decoration and maintenance of furniture, fittings Buildings, teaching resources and electrical equipment.
8.Working with the Learner Journey coordinator to ensure the learning environment is of a high quality.
9.General porterage and movement of furniture, materials and equipment. resetting of furniture in teaching areas as requested.
10.To monitor the work of cleaning contractors to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
11.To carry out duties with regard to the KCC Health & Safety at work Policy Framework and Equal Opportunities Policies, as far as possible and ensure they are complied with.

The position is a customer orientated role, but does need to include the premises and handyman duties and is a 20 hours per week position at present.
We need to cover from 8am to 10pm Monday to Thursday and then 8am to 5pm on a Friday. Sevenoaks have a few Saturdays (approx 6 in each academic year).
The role would be ideal for someone wishing to work 8am to 12pm (4 hours) Monday to Friday, but with a bit of flexibility to cover sickness, holidays etc.
