An experienced 2nd Line Support Technician is required to provide technical support to clients and manage the team and ticketing system.

Principle Accountabilities:

To meet the Service Desks agreed targets through identifying problem causes to achieve a
quick and permanent solution. To be able to work effectively as part of the Service Desk
team this includes maintaining up-to-date and accurate Service Desk records.

To have a commercial awareness in relation to client and business risk and to
handle each client in relation to their needs, there is a need to be able to work on specific
allocated projects within agreed timescales this may include the need for client site visits as
and when required.

There is the opportunity to maximise and benefit from the technical and non-technical training
provided.

Required Technical Skills:

• MS Exchange systems including ideally older versions
• Windows Server Operating systems including ideally experience of older OS such as Server
• 2003 onwards
• MS Office Suite - 2003 onwards
• Backup software e.g. SymantecNeritas, Arcserve
• Remote control software e.g. Dameware, VNC, RDP
• Anti-Virus software e.g Norton, McAfee
• Imaging software e.g. Symantec Ghost
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
• Network Administration inc VPN
• Installing/configuring peripherals

You will have previous experience in a 2nd line support role with excellent customer services skills, a high level of assertiveness and the ability to work well as part of a close knit team.

This role is 80% office based and 20% client based (UK wide) therefore you must have your own transport.
