Connect2Kent are looking for two Technical Support Officers to join the Highways, Transportation and Waste - Soft Landscape department of KCC.
Job Purpose
Provide technical support, undertaking Landscape monitoring, quality checks and quantification of works. Carryout Asset Data inspections at various locations across the county. Monitor additional ad-hoc works on sites throughout Kent. Providing first point of contact for the public on site & prompt resolution of enquiries/complaints.
A valid driver’s license and use of own vehicle is required. First point of contact for the public relating to enquiries/complaints referred by the Contact Centre or other parts of the business.
Front line service delivery of Kent policies including positive customer experience through proactive communication.
Accountabilities
1.Monitor landscape maintenance & contractors activities. Collect data and images to facilitate judgements around performance, quality & adherence to programme. Collect asset data via on-site inspections using a tablet devise. Specifically, recording asset volumes, quantities, dimensions and data such as asset type, conditions, defects, priority and any required works. Assist in monitoring tree maintenance and tree works, High Speed Roads & Bus Routes projects communicating with contractors, collecting and collating relevant records.
2.Investigate & resolve CSM enquiries/complaints. Assist with correspondence & undertake customer call backs. Undertake Continuous updating of the customer service and works ordering modules of Confirm (WAMS) system & Dashboard. Use specialist software to provide drawings and statistical information
3.Assist in delivering programmes of work within Highways and Transportation and to other stakeholders as appropriate. Work seamlessly with Highways Operations staff to deliver efficiencies and service quality. Collect and collate relevant records and statistics for the team to assist with the provision of information to other parts of KCC/H&T.
4.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required. These will include members of the public and elected representatives, as well as other bodies such as parish and district councils, Utilities and transport operators.
5.Assist in the collection and calculation of key Operational Performance Measures (OPM’s) and information that can be used to improve the service.
6.Undertake supplementary administrative and technical tasks as and when required, to support other team members, Landscape Officer(s) and the Service Manager, as required.
7.Provide first point resolution on site via direct works, utilising provided tools & equipment. Utilise own vehicle, or provided KCC vehicle as required
The successful candidates will require a Full UK Driving Licence
