We are part of a major player within the UK market segment of flexible aluminium blister foils for the pharma (pharmaceutical) and healthcare industries, as well as foils for the confectionary industry. Worldwide Constantia Packaging AG employs around 7000 staff at 42 sites across 21 countries. At the UK site in Sittingbourne we are seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector.

The Job:

•Investigate customer complaints and corrective/preventative actions followed by timely completion of relevant records
•Relationship manage customers particularly regarding quality issues
•Develop and maintain quality systems and database
•Maintain calibration records and ensure items are effectively calibrated
•Advise production on quality guidance and provide practical support on quality issues
•Adhere to Quality and Testing procedures
•Resolve internal rejects, supplier/transport rejects and general quality related issues
•Perform internal audits when required
•Audit / test stock take at end of financial year (out of hours normally last day before Xmas)
•File, document and maintain all quality records
•Cover for Quality Co-ordinator - test and final release of pharmaceutical packaging materials, verification of test certificates and certificates of conformity, provide IR scans to customers.

The Person:

•experience of working in quality in a production environment
•strong communication skills and be a co-operative team player
•thoroughness - an enquiring investigative mind, methodical and attentive to detail
•IT literate - Microsoft Office, ERP and production systems
•good eyesight and can work at height due to the occasional checking of products
•this role involves a lot of desk work
