Our client is looking for a Business Intelligence Officer - Research for a 3 month contract based in Maidstone, Kent.
The post holder will work as part of a team that crosses department boundaries in providing research and evaluation methodologies for service insight to inform policy and strategy changes, with a primary focus on developing and implementing customer and client surveys.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Design, implement and report surveys across the range of services that the council delivers. Develop appropriate standards for survey design and advise Directorates on the application of these standards
Lead on the commissioning of studies and field work on behalf of service managers as appropriate.
Contribute to the development of service insight methodologies (such as resource modelling and market, social and opinion research) that help take forward service change within a consistent corporate framework
Lead specific research and analytical projects in support of Directorates that inform relevant company ervice policy areas. Provide analysis on given service areas to support performance management and improvements
Actively contribute to the work programme of the customer and service insight team, including expert advice on technical research, design and methods, working across Directorates to improve and reshape service delivery.
Provide advice, design and guidance to services requiring quantitative and qualitative surveys to support service insight and redesign
Provide sophisticated statistical techniques to analyse and interpret study and survey findings as appropriate.
Develop specialist knowledge and expertise relating to customer and service insight and how this can be applied in support of service change and policy development
Actively contribute to the management of the research and evaluation function by supporting the business plan development and monitoring processes
Person Specification:-
Relevant degree level study or equivalent professional experience.
Established experience of working within a market research or social studies environment with a good track record of managing social research projects.
Experience of working with clients to identify and establish research specifications
Established experience of project management and ability to deliver outcomes within tight deadlines.
Experience of delivering surveys
Strong of quantitative and qualitative methods
