Harbour Shipping is one of the UK’s leading companies in the provision of Customs Clearance, European ferry freight bookings and transport related services. We are currently looking to strengthen our team by appointing two trainee Import/Export Clerks to join our Customs Clearance Departments at our offices at Dover Western Docks and the Stop24 Services at Junction 11 on the M20.
TRAINEE DEEP SEA IMPORT/EXPORT CLERK (Ref 2014/STOP24/006)
Working as part of a busy and enthusiastic team at our Stop 24 office on the M20 near Hythe, you will be responsible for assisting in the production and presentation of HM Customs documentation and developing into an Account Manager role. The position suits a candidate who is educated to degree standard or some alternate form of higher education with good computer literacy and experience of Microsoft applications including Word and Excel and is looking to pursue a career within a successful organisation.
Working Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and alternate Saturday mornings 9am to midday, the position offers a starting salary of £18,000, a company pension scheme and 4 weeks paid holiday a year.

Working as part of a busy and enthusiastic team at our Dover Western Docks office, you will be responsible for assisting in the production and presentation of HM Customs documentation and participation in other associated services including our Bureau de Change and European vignette services. The position suits a candidate who is numerate with good computer literacy and experience of Microsoft applications including Word and Excel and is looking to pursue a career within a successful organisation.
The position necessitates working on an 8 hour alternate week shift rota:
Week 1 – Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 6pm and Saturday 8am to 4pm;
Week 2 – Monday to Friday 6pm to 2am
This position offers a starting salary of £16,000, a pension scheme and 4 weeks paid holiday a year.
