This 2 year fixed term post will work within the Financial Reporting Team to provide project management and support, in particular around the transition to the new Financial Reporting Standards (FRS100-102) and the associated new FE/HE Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP). This post will also work with the Financial Reporting team to deliver other projects designed to improve processes and update accounting procedures to be applied across the University.
With a CCAB qualification or equivalent and good recent knowledge of UK technical accounting issues and regulations, the successful candidate will have experience of working with sophisticated computerised accounting systems and experience of Project Management.
Experience of conversion to IFRS reporting and experience of evaluating technical requirements and the application of sound judgement in recommendation appropriate accounting policies is also essential.
