Permanent; Full-time 162.5 hours per month
Salary Scale: £17,277 – £18,700 plus benefits
Canterbury Oast Trust takes pride in providing high quality care and support for adults with learning disabilities across Kent and East Sussex.
We provide long-term accommodation and care, based in small, unique family style homes. The ethos of all our homes is to support independence, dignity, choice and achievement by helping people to live the lives they choose. The New Bungalow is home to six people with varying abilities who have both physical and learning disabilties.
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to help manage and develop high quality care services for all the residents and to help promote a culture of continuous improvement and development for adults with complex needs.
Working as part of a larger team you will provide high quality care and support to the adults based on their needs through a person-centered approach. You will assist the Home Manager to provide a safe and supportive environment that enables individuals to feel valued, reach their potential and nuture their aspirations.
You will have the ability to supervise staff and hold a minimum of a Level 2 Diploma/NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care.Your own vehicle and a clear and current driving licence are essential due to our rural location. An Enhanced Criminal Records check is required for this role.
Experience of using specialist equipment and knowledge of autism/diabetes/epilepsy would be an advantage, however full training will be given to the right person.
