Our Customers mean the world to us. That’s what we believe here at The Wave, and our Finance team play a key role in delivering our mission in “Making Travel Easy” for every customer. The FP&A team look after all of the systems that drive revenue generation in the business and you'll be spending time understanding every aspect of our business, working in close partnership to help drive our mission to double EBITDA every 5 years. We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst who believes in delivering exceptional service, has a passion for metrics and figures and loves getting into the detail, who can easily spot business opportunities while also seeing and understanding the big picture.

We work closely with all other teams within the business, analysing and presenting financial data so that it can be easily understood and used by our business partners, developing new processes, tools and reports to help the teams manage their spend, so you’ll constantly be challenged and never be bored!

As someone who can build close working relationships across the business and with our suppliers, you’ll love explaining complex concepts and analysing performance data so we can see how we’re doing against plan.

You will be responsible for managing monthly forecasting processes, working closely with all business areas so they fully understand variance to the forecast, analysing large datasets and developing insights into business performance and variance analysis. Alongside this you’ll be working with cost centre managers and directors to establish robust and challenging budgets.

Must have!

Proven experience of working in business planning and forecasting in complex business environment.
Extensive use of Microsoft Excel including use of advanced formulas.
Demonstrable experience with analytical skills in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
The ability to build and manage models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving.
Demonstrable experience using analytics to influence key business stakeholders.
SQL in either Oracle and MySQL.
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
To be able to build close working relationships across the business and with our suppliers.
The ability to work in a demanding and fast paced environment.
The ability to think laterally about the impact of changes.
A good deal of commercial awareness.
