Working within our Collections Department on late stage delinquency credit card arrears you'll be responsible for contacting our customers and other 3rd parties to negotiate full balance payments and/or settlements. As well as this you'll work with our customers who have found themselves in financial difficulties to advise on alternate payment plans. You'll also be using specialist tools to optimise customer contact and payment conversion.
More specifically you will:
• Contact delinquent high risk customers in order to secure payment and determine reason for delinquency
• Individually tailor contact strategies to each unique account using tools such as Trace and historic payment and contact information
• Ensure customer confidentiality in line with the Data Protection Act and adherance to all regulatory & FCA requirements
• Meet defined individual and team performance targets to ensure the delivery of key business objectives
Skills, Experience and Behaviours:
• You'll have a proven track record in debt recovery
• You'll be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• ICM accreditations (Introduction into Credit Management) and/or CSA Diploma would be advantageous
• You'll have excellent negotiation and reasoning skills with the ability to present and explain information and solutions in a clear manner
• You'll have an analytical mindset with the ability to use your own initiative
• You'll be a confident communicator, able to deal with a wide variety of people
• You'l be self motivated with the ability to work in a highly targeted environment
• You'll be positive, enthusiastic and remain calm during busy periods
• An adaptable and flexible approach to your work is a must
