Our client is situated in the heart of Folkestone with magnificent views of the English Channel.
Catering for conferences, weddings, events and candle- lit dinners, our client services a range of clientele with the best quality and service you will expect to experience from an up market establishment.
Due to demand, we are currently looking to expand their team of chefs and are now looking for an experienced Sous Chef looking to further their career.
You will be experienced in bistro, a la carte restaurant, banqueting and function catering. They only use the very best, fresh local ingredients and produce, so confidence and experience in this is a must.
The Sous Chef must be:
• Experienced in a similar role and environment, with a genuine commitment and passion for food and quality service
• Responsible for maintaining health and safety practices and good hygiene in line with company food safety standards within our kitchen
• Be a team player with good leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Step up to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
• Have knowledge of stock control and operating a kitchen in line with food GP
• Be creative and able to deliver good customer satisfaction, ensuring consistency of all food to a consistently high standard.
All Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
