We are looking to recruit an HR Manager in West Malling area for 12 month contract.

Salary £36-37k, this will be a 12 Month contract or possibly permanent.

This position is a generalist role but applicants will need to have experience within Tupe, Employment law, structuring, performance management and appraisals.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Act as a source of expertise providing advice, guidance and information on a wide range of HR issues including performance management, employee relations, and change management.

Provide advice and guidance to managers (including support at hearings) in dealing with and resolving cases including disciplinary, grievance and performance issues in a timely manner to minimise the impact on the business.

Provide business focused advice and guidance on the organisational change management process (including the application of ‘TUPE’) to aid managers in delivering their business within target.

Advise managers on a pragmatic approach to difficult and complex issues in order to achieve a satisfactory resolution to problems which protect the interest of the business.

Contribute to the HR Management Team, aiding to the development of the HR service and supporting the Head of HR in the delivery of a high quality HR service.

Direct and supervise the activities of members of the team as appropriate to ensure they remain motivated and focused on the delivery of their role.

Devise, develop and implement a range of HR policies and procedures (with a focus on employee relations and reward) to support the organisation and ensure a best practice approach is applied.
Maintain and manage complex projects on behalf of HR in order to ensure and effective outcome of the project objectives.

Act as the lead for employee reward initiatives and activities, developing and recommending continual improvement to the overall reward offering to employees.

Contribute to the wider activities of the HR Team (for example, but not limited to delivering training to managers) as required to ensure a high level of service is continually provided to the business.

Develop and maintain appropriate processes with any staff representation groups (for example, but not limited to trade unions, works councils or staff groups) to ensure that the Company is compliant and develops appropriate relationships with such groups.
