Junior Events Co-ordinator

My client offers the very best in leisure, travel and entertainment for individual, groups and corporate events.

Working within the Operations department this role will be majority office based, however you will be require to attend events and site visits with clients. You will also be required to attend networking events and venue visit outside of working hours.

· Liaising with clients to ascertain their precise event requirements
· Producing detailed proposals for events
· Securing and booking a suitable venue
· Negotiate best rates
· Quotation on additional extras such as audio-visual equipment, transportation, accommodation, and other event needs
· Coordinating suppliers and client queries
· Researching markets to identify opportunities
· Cold and warm calling
· Maintaining client base and account management
· Introducing new venues and suppliers in accordance with our criteria
· Analysis and producing reports as required
· Be up to date with industry trends and read trade publications
· Be aware of competitors business and products
· All staff may be required, from time to time, to assist with other tasks in other areas of the business.
· Good demonstrable knowledge of how events and conferences are organised from enquire, operations on day and retention of business for future
· Working knowledge of venues throughout London and the rest of the UK
· European venue knowledge would be desirable but not essential
· Strong organisational, multi-tasking and prioritisation skills
· Ability to work to deadlines and targets
· Superb logistical skills
· Keen eye for detail along
· Determination to produce results in a pressurised work environment
· Strong sales skills – excellent sales techniques both proactive and reactive
· Ability to build client base
· Computer literate - familiarity with word, excel and outlook
· Good people skills and the ability to lead others
· Ability to communicate with people at all levels in writing and in person
