Our client based on the out skirts of Margate is looking for a temp to perm to fill a new role that has developed within the company. They specialise in security and electrical services.

The successful candidate will maintain very high levels of stock control and integrity. They will also support the activities of Controls’ manufacturing and development requirements.

Role Activities:

• To ensure the company is in receipt of all production material ordered
• To ensure all goods are inspected/verified against delivery documentation
• Store and retrieve production material and ensure excellent standards of location control are maintained and lot/serial is traceable
• Identify and issue production material against production and repair works orders.
• Identify and issue material to meet development and other non-production requirements
• Ensure all goods are dispatched against customer sales orders
• To maintain high levels of stock accuracy through annual stock takes, daily cycle checking, and by promptly reporting discrepancies found during daily activities
• To investigate stock discrepancies to resolution
• Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and completed in accordance with company procedures
• To actively contribute to improvement initiatives, and make recommendations where appropriate, to maintain high levels of control and efficiency
• To maintain the high quality standards that our customers expect
• Effectively plan and organise own daily tasks
• To be flexible across operations and undertake work in accordance with your skill set
• There may be additional activities to perform from time to time in order to maximise the contribution to our clients goals and objectives

Experience, Qualifications and Skills:

Essential

• Experience in working in a stores or warehouse environment
• Able to follow instructions
• Demonstrates good attention to detail producing consistently high quality work
• Adaptable and flexible approach to their work
• Experience in managing their daily key activities to achieve time-scales to quality
• Good communication skills both verbally and in writing
• Experience of liaising with internal and external customers
• Works effectively with others
• Pro-actively able to manage own work to in order to achieve objectives
• Use own initiative within the scope of the role
• Plans work and delivers on time
• Seeks solutions to problems encountered
• Makes timely decisions within the scope of the role
• Demonstrates a “Can do” positive attitude
• Good application of Microsoft packages and relevant software for the role

Desirable

• Has worked in the Electrical industry with an understanding of electrical components
