TITLE: ON CALL Consultant
RESPONSIBLE TO: Lead On Call Consultant
SCOPE OF POSITION
• To be the first line of contact for a group of service users and care workers, to ensure the delivery of care to all service users is safe and maintained at a high standard
• To assist the team co-ordinating care covering short notice, ensuring all calls are covered
• To complete logs of changes to allocated calls
• To actively promote service user satisfaction in the services they receive.
• To ensure the implementation of minimum CQC legislation
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Liaise closely with all care staff delivering care to your service. Chase care workers by calling or texting to ensure correct times of allocated calls
• Monitor/Screen Ezitracker on a regular basis keeping check on the timing of the carer’s visits and the duration of visits and to feed-back to the Lead On Call Consultant with any issues arising
• Ensure compliance with legislation in respect of confidentiality and record keeping
• Deal with candidate queries in a timely and effective manor
• Communicate rotas to care workers prior to shifts commencing in case of problems
• Report back to the Lead On Call Consultant any issues of concern relating to care delivery to service users
• Cover calls if no carer is available where possible
