Reed Specialist Recruitment, Ashford, are delighted to be representing our client, a well established and continually evolving business, in recruiting for an experienced Sales Manager.
This role offers an attractive remuneration package, including uncapped commission and company car. Immediate interview and start for the right candidate!
Duties include:
~ To develop and win new business in order to achieve revenue and gross profit targets.
~ To provide advice, costing information and support to colleagues, in order to promote cross selling.
~ To develop an annual sales plan, demonstrating how key objectives will be met.
~ Proactively research specified markets and sectors to identify new prospects and opportunities.
~ Telephone liaison with an agreed number of targeted, new prospect decision makers, weekly.
~ Secure face-to-face meetings, delivering presentations targeted to the prospect's requirements as appropriate.
~ Submitting quotations and proposals in the company style, and following the established administration processes.
~ Providing cost estimates and solutions, and participating in the preparation and definition of new business proposals.
~ To attend trade shows, business events and other networking opportunities.
~ Using the CRM database to ensure accurate and up-to-date reporting of all client and prospect information.
~ To develop both new and existing accounts, maximising all business opportunities
~ Preparing activity reports, and keeping up-to-date with competitors' activity and other developments in the market place.
The ideal candidate:
~ Experienced Sales/Business Development Manager
~ Commercially aware
~ A proven track record and sound understanding of 'solution selling'
~ Able to demonstrate success of winning new business from initial prospect identification and cold-calling through to presentations, proposals and closing.
~ A proven track record of supporting and delivering profitable business growth.
~ An entrepreneurial approach.
~ Excellent communication skills.
~ The ability to sell and negotiate business at all levels and to achieve and exceed sales targets.
~ Well educated - degree or equivalent preferred.
~ Highly professional presentation
~ Accountable, self-motivated and ambitious.
~ Good telephone, letter writing and numeracy skills
~ Full, clean Drivers Licence - as some UK travel
