Based in Margate, we are actively recruiting for a Theatres/Medical Administrator to join a busy and friendly team on a part time and permanent basis.
On a daily basis you be responsible for the provision of an efficient and professional administration service to the theatre manger, team and unit. You will communicate effectively using telephone, e-mail and in person with both internal departments and external clients and organisations.
You will handle telephone enquiries effectively and relay messages accurately, assisting with any clerical duties considered necessary for the smooth running of the service. You will assist with the planning of the theatre lists, liaising with booking staff and consultants and you will also assist with staff rotas, contacting staff members and agencies as required.
You will be responsible for handling the postage of internal and external post on site.
This post demands an organised and meticulous administrator that has a keen eye for detail, and the ability to act in a discreet, diplomatic and tactful manner at all times.
You will have strong IT skills, familiar with all MS Office packages, and former experience of taking minutes would be advantageous, although is not essential.
Former experience working in a medical environment and any awareness of medical terminology would also further support your application, but again is not essential.
This role will see you working 22.5 hours a week on a flexible shift pattern, Monday to Friday.
