Our client provides the strategic direction and supports each of the subsidiary companies. The Group’s activities include, specialist utility consultancy, utility delivery, M&E, FM and maintenance and Resource Management. They are currently looking for a Project Manager to join their Dartford team initially for a three to four months contract.
This is an ideal role for an individual seeking a career working in a dynamic environment within the private electrical network, utility and civil engineering sectors.
The project manager is responsible for the co-ordination and control of the assigned projects through to the completion and the handing over the projects.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
• Capable of producing contractors costs & quotes in good time
• Produce phasing programmes for all projects
• Driving performance and quality
• Excellent communication & organising skills
• Ability to work alone
• Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and application of relevant rules
• Honest and reliable
• Co-ordinating sub-contractors (meeting on site from enquiry to completion)
• Willing to travel
• Managing Budget
• Excellent time keeping
As Project Manager you will be responsible for your team and site as No1 throughout construction from start to handover, including client liaison, design co-ordination, programming of works, co-ordination and management of subcontractors, health & safety, quality control and progress reporting.
You will be highly motivated and professional, demonstrating excellent technical, commercial and contractual knowledge, with sound organisational, man-management and communication skills.
You have a proven track record of success with a main contractor in the utility and civil engineering sector.
High standards, attention to detail and the drive to deliver the job on time, to specification and budget will be well rewarded with excellent rate and a long run of future work.

• NRSWA – supervisors accreditation essential
• Prince 2
• Managing teams and contractors
• Health and Safety compliance
• Project management
• Good IT skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, written and verbal
• Ability to multi-task and have the ability to effectively manage own time and meet deadlines
• Principle client interface
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Excellent concept of attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
