Due to business demand in a busy HR function, we have an exciting opportunity for an HR Assistant to join a well-established company that is multi-sited in South East Kent.
Initially on a six-month contract, with the potential of a permanent post in the longer term, this role will see you as part of an HR team based at the clients head offices in central Dover.
On a daily basis you will report into the HR Manager, and as part of the small you will undertake a range of HR administration, and support duties. You will answer queries from members of staff and employees, and you will assist with the taking of minutes at meetings, reviews and disciplinaries and grievances.
You will handle multiple recruitment campaigns, assisting with the delivery of an efficient recruitment process including writing job description, adverts, sifting, arranging and confirming interviews. You will issue employment contracts for new members of staff, obtaining references and conducting pre- employment checks as necessary.
You will record all staff absence including annual leave and sickness on the in-house system, and you will keep all personnel files up to date.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have the minimum of two years' experience in an HR role, with up to date knowledge of HR law and policies, and you will either be studying toward or will be CIPD qualified. You will have a good working knowledge of all MS Office packages, and you will have strong administration skills, with keen attention to detail.
Please note that occasional travel may be required between sites, so you need to have a driving licence and your own transport. As a reminder, this is initially only a six month contract.
