The John Townsend Trust now have the following vacancy based at our lovely Farm Shop & Cafe in Dargate, Faversham.

Assistant Chef - Monkshill Farm Shop & Café
20 hours per week including regular weekend work
Full year with 33 days holiday pro rata including bank holidays

Pay point 5 (£7.48 per hour) – 6 (£7.85 per hour) dependant on experience

Responsibilities include participating in a rota to ensure that Chef cover is available as required, assisting the Chef with the day to day operations of the farm shop kitchen, preparation and cooking of food for the café and food products to be sold in the shop.

The successful candidate will be a good team player with the ability to work independently and good communication skills. Experience and skills in baking cakes and puddings along with the ability to produce good quality home cooked food is important. A catering qualification, food hygiene certificate and knowledge and understanding of COSHH is essential to the role.

Please note that, due to the location of the Farm, own transport would be required.
