The post involves supervising, organising and leading a team of carers whilst overseeing the personal care needs of 29 residents. The role carries a great deal of responsibility and the person needs to be able to deal with the pressure and stress that occurs in this ever changing environment. You will be responsible for all aspects of medication administration and handling as well as stock control and ordering of foods and janitorial stock. You must be able to liaise confidently with all outside agencies including GPs, Nurses and other members of the multi disciplinary team. The role requires the ability to maintain all records on the residents from care plans to risk assessments.
It is preferable that the successful candidate has a minimum of a level 2 qualification in care and preferably a level 3. At least 2 years experience in a caring role is necessary.
