The 4 star Ramada Hotel Dover which is part of the Leaf Hotel Group, requires a Food & Beverage Operations Manager to run the Olive Tree Restaurant, the Octagon Bar, the Costa Coffee Café, 2 function rooms for meetings and small functions and the Grand Marquee which can cater for banquets up to 300 guests

The hotel has a strong corporate and leisure business trade for the bar and restaurant and has established itself as an excellent venue for weddings and events.

JOB SUMMARY:

To ensure all Food &Beverage outlets run in a smooth and professional manner, utilising computer and communication equipment to its fullest potential; ensuring customer satisfaction at all times; .and to implement the’ Spirit of Ramada International’ by ensuring the 6 Core Pillars are adhered to at all times.

GENERAL DUTIES:

1) To ensure that all Food & Beverage outlets are fully staffed and weekly timesheets reflect business levels.
2) To adapt, understand and implement Ramada International related standards throughout all Food &Beverage outlets within the hotel.
3) To manage and supervise special events, busy trading periods and support the Food & Beverage team in performing according to agreed standards and ensuring customer satisfaction at all times is of the highest level.
4) To ensure regular staff training is taking place, improving skill of restaurant and bar staff and ensuring staff retention through a motivated team.
5) To display a ‘hands on’ approach in the daily running of the Food & Beverage outlets and support the Supervisors in maintaining the highest possible service standards throughout.
6) To be available for Duty Management shifts as requested.
7) To actively promote through sales training, advertising, in house promotions all Food & Beverage promotions and Events
8) To actively implement Leaf Hotels Rewards Scheme with minimum numbers of sign up on a weekly basis
9) To attend bi-weekly Sales Meeting and to produce consumption figures based on EPOS reports.
10) To ensure all Health & Safety obligations are complied with and relevant training takes place on a 6 monthly basis, with Departmental Audits carried out on a monthly basis

We are looking for candidates with previous managerial or supervisory experience within a quality food & beverage operation, and competent in leading teams in a 4 star hotel or similar environment. Previous hotel and event experience would also be a huge advantage. You must have excellent customer focus and the ability to motivate and manage a team of staff. We are looking for candidates with plenty of personality and a strong work ethic.
