The successful candidate will provide 1st and 2nd line support in the provision and delivery of ICT frontline services for the College.
You must have a proven track record in IT support along with the personal drive and ambition to support the day to day running of this key area.
You will have a key role in liaising and communicating with other ICT staff, as well as corporate and curriculum staff of various levels.
You will possess:
• Strong customer-facing skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Robust team working skills
• Advanced problem solving skills
• Ability to work flexibly using initiative to work to frequently demanding time limits
• A positive approach and a keen interest in IT
Technical Knowledge and Experience
• Minimum of 12 months experience providing 1st / 2nd line IT Support
• Experience of working within an ITIL-based Helpdesk environment
• Experience of installing, configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft operating systems and applications is essential
• Experience of Apple OS X devices is desirable
• Experience of imaging and deployment software (SCCM)
• Experience of interactive whiteboards, projectors and audio systems
• Experience of liaising with third party solution providers.
• Excellent demonstrable documentation and communication skills
• Knowledge of MIS systems is advantageous, in particular Corero REMS.
