Quality Control Operator

We are currently looking for a Quality Control Operator to join a busy manufacturing company based in Mid Kent.

The main purpose of the role will be Quality Control over the reproduction and pre-distortion of customer artwork files, for engraving and industrial printing (both rotogravure & VSOP print processes.

Reporting to the line manager duties will include:

• Check reproduction files of customer artwork jobs for colour matching, trapping, layering, file structure, elements etc in accordance with the technical & quality specifications required for print production.
• Provide statistical data analysis of QC performance on pre-press production process.
• Liaison with manufacturing operations (engraving & print) to advise or consult on specific artwork i.e. printing problems.
• To conduct artwork corrections (text, colour & services) as required.

Candidates will require the following skills and experience:
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop CS6.
• Good understanding of colour metric and colour management.
• Experience or equivalent qualifications in quality control and/or reproduction of graphic designs.
• Good general IT knowledge including Excel, Work, Outlook.

Working hours are 8.30am – 5pm with an earlier finish on Fridays. The role is based in Mid Kent, easily commutable from North Kent and Medway.
