An immediate start is available for an experienced full time Health & Safety Manager for a busy scaffolding company.
The company works predominantly in the South East across various sectors and specialises in the installation of scaffold for asbestos removal for which we currently hold a 3 year asbestos licence. We are currently one of the few scaffold companies nationwide to have had their license renewed for 3 years, which is the maximum term.
Reporting to the MD the successful candidate will develop and maintain the health & safety management systems to include monitoring, auditing and enforcement at all sites / premises. The role will also include the production of risk assessments / method statements and maintenance of the asbestos licence.
Applicants must have suitable health & safety experience supported with appropriate qualifications (NEBOSH cert or equivalent as a minimum). Specialist knowledge of working with scaffolding and asbestos is desirable. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work well in a team and make an immediate impact.
The company employs over 40 operatives with a turnover exceeding £3 million per annum.
